Although we don’t guarantee whale sightings, we frequently see them in the waters off North Lake and East Point Lighthouse

Minke Whale - The most common of the whales we see, approximately 35 feet long and over 5000 kg in weight.

Pilot Whale - Smaller but more common to approach the boat; the Pilot Whale weights about 1000 to 3000 kgs and is approximately 5.5 meters in length

Humpback - Approximately 45 ft to 50 feet long and 25 to 30 tonne in weight.

Finback Whale - The 2nd longest animal on the planet, 2nd only to the Blue Whale. Usually 60 to 80 feet in length and weighing in at a whopping 100,000 pounds or more.

Sperm Whale - Largest of the toothed whales with a 60 to 70 year lifespan. Approximately 50 feet in length and weighs as much as 30,000kg.

Very specific to East Point waters and another favorite activity on the water, harbour porpoise and seals are almost always seen on our tours. As with their dolphin cousins, can be very playful with visitors to their abode and often approach the boat for a closer look at us. It seems that they are almost as interested in us, as we are in them.

Another family favorite activity for a PEI Vacation is watching the ongoing activities of the harbor or grey seal. In our neck of the woods, they are most commonly seen in the watches off of East Point Lighthouse/.
